“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” (Jeremiah 3:15, KJV)
Patrick and Kari Kloehn began pastoring Calvary Apostolic in January 2017. Pastor Patrick has the unique opportunity to pastor in the very church that introduced him and his wife to the Apostolic message and experience. It was during the fall of 2004 that Patrick & Kari walked into a service at Calvary Apostolic for the first time. Having been raised going to church every Sunday, Patrick had begun to drift further and further away from God, and closer and closer to a lifestyle he knew was not healthy…physically or spiritually.
A friend told him about the Pentecostal experience of speaking in tongues, which sent Patrick & Kari searching for a greater encounter with God. Around this same time, they became pregnant with their first child. The realization that they were about to bring a baby into this world also increased the desire to find a church they could call home.
It wasn’t long until both Patrick & Kari experienced the amazing infilling of the Holy Ghost, evidenced by speaking in tongues. Later, they were both baptized in the name of Jesus! God has led them throughout their ministry, from ushering, working in the nursery, to teaching Sunday School, visiting nursing homes, to now – pastoring this great church!
Patrick & Kari are parents to seven wonderful children. Their oldest son, Peyton, was born in 2005, followed by five more boys: Eli, Isaiah, Mathias, Asher, and Drew. In 2018, a girl, Gracie, was added to the family. During the summer, the family enjoys going on a camping adventure together. Pastor Patrick enjoys golfing, while Kari, when not teaching or taking care of the home, can be found dreaming of a sandy beach somewhere.
